Signs you need emergency roof repair

Some roof problems can wait for a weekday estimate. These can’t, especially with more rain or snow on the way.

  • Water in a top-floor unit

In Paterson and Passaic multi-family homes, a leak can reach a tenant’s ceiling fast. Call before it spreads to the floor below.

  • A section of roof torn open

Wind can peel a flat roof back at the edge or strip shingles off a slope. Either leaves the wood exposed to the next rain.

  • A tree down on a wooded lot

Homes in West Milford, Ringwood and Wanaque are surrounded by tall trees. One on the roof is always urgent.

Already have water coming in? Call (201) 565-6664 now. We answer 24/7, any day of the year, from our base in Clifton.

EMERGENCY ROOF FAQS

Questions? Start here.

We do. ADZ Roofing is based in Clifton and answers the phone 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Tell us what happened and we’ll arrange to secure your roof the same day.

Water coming into living space, a tree or large limb on the roof, a section of roof torn open, or a sagging ceiling. A few missing shingles on a dry day can usually wait for a regular appointment.

Call us with the address and your tenant’s number. We’ll arrange access, secure the roof and send you photos. Ask your tenant to move belongings away from the leak and avoid any wet light fixtures.

Yes. On flat and low-slope roofs we can patch torn areas, reseal lifted edges and clear clogged drains so water runs off. Once the weather settles, we plan a permanent torch-down repair.

Storm damage is often covered, while wear and tear usually isn’t. Your insurer will want evidence, so we photograph the damage and describe the work we did to protect the house.

Emergency work is priced by what it takes to stop the water: the size of the damage, the type of roof and how hard it is to reach. You’ll know what we plan to do before we do it.

Move people and belongings out of the wet area, put down buckets and towels, and take photos. If water is near lights or outlets, switch off that circuit. Don’t go on the roof in wind, rain or snow.

Yes. After the roof is secured, we inspect it fully and give you a written estimate for the permanent repair or replacement. You’re never pushed to book it on the spot.
