WHAT WE INSTALL

A new roof, built layer by layer.

A roof is a system, not just shingles. Here’s what goes into every new roof we install on a Bergen County home.

  • New rafters and roof sheathing

    Deck & ice barrier

We check every sheet of decking, replace anything soft, then run ice and water barrier along the eaves and valleys, where Bergen County ice dams do their damage.

  • New roof decking going down on a brick home

    Shingles or standing seam

Most homes get GAF architectural shingles. For porches, bay windows or low slopes, standing-seam metal is an option. We show you samples before you choose.

  • Cape Cod house with a new shingle roof

    Ventilation & flashing

Split-levels and capes with dormers have many roof-to-wall joints. We install new step flashing, drip edge and ridge or soffit vents so the attic breathes.

WHEN A NEW ROOF MAKES SENSE

Planning a project that needs a roof?

Roof installation isn’t only for worn-out roofs. These are the projects Bergen County homeowners most often call us about.

  • An addition or new dormer

Raising a cape or adding a room means new roof framing. We tie the new roof into the old one so the seam stays watertight.

  • Switching roofing materials

Moving from three-tab to architectural shingles, or adding metal over a porch, is a full installation, not a patch.

  • A detached garage or porch

Smaller roofs still need proper underlayment, flashing and drainage. We install them to the same standard as the house.

ROOF INSTALLATION FAQS

Questions? Start here.

It depends on the size and pitch of the roof, how many dormers and valleys it has, the material you choose and the condition of the decking. We measure on site and give you a free written estimate with no obligation.

A replacement removes your old roof before the new one goes on. Installation covers any new roof, including additions, new garages and porches, or a switch to a different material. Many Bergen County jobs are a bit of both.

Most homes get GAF architectural asphalt shingles, which we install as a GAF Certified contractor. We also install standing-seam metal and torch-down flat roofing for low-slope areas like porches and rear additions.

Yes. We run it along the eaves, in the valleys and around chimneys and skylights. In shaded Bergen County yards, snow often melts and refreezes at the gutter line, and that barrier is what keeps the meltwater out.

We match the color and profile as closely as current shingles allow. If the existing roof is near the end of its life, we’ll tell you and price the whole roof as an option, so the house ends up with one matching roof.

Requirements differ from one Bergen County municipality to the next. We confirm what your town asks for before work is scheduled and explain it in your estimate, so there are no surprises on installation day.

Yes. Financing is available through a third-party lender, subject to credit approval. Ask when you book your free estimate and we’ll explain how to apply alongside your written price.

We cover shrubs, decks and the driveway, set up a debris area and follow the plan in your estimate. At the end of the day we clean up and sweep the lawn and driveway for stray nails.
